Thoughts, Reflections & Musings
Shamanism is the common root to all spiritual experience. The shaman was the tribe’s go-to and go between person.

Shamanism as we know it today revolves around the experience of journeying and connecting with the plant, animal, mineral, and spiritual realms. The true power of shamanism is in developing relationships with all beings or at least types of beings. As with any friendship, your associates will come to your aid in times of need. These forces are not to be dominated or harnessed, they are simply befriended. These relationships take up much of a shaman’s time. As with any relationship, you must make a commitment to learn about the other person. Some friends are friends instantly while others require cultivation. Still others may be only a working relationship.

It is an otherworldly thing. If we observe a person speaking without another physical person present, our first impression may be that they are crazy or talking to themselves. Particularly in an automobile, they may have a hands free phone. I have decided to reserve judgment on those people. Just because I can’t tell what their connection is or whom they are talking to, It doesn’t mean they are out of touch with reality. Their world simply includes connection I may not have or at least of which I am not aware.

The shaman or the mystic is like the woman on a hands free phone. They spend a lot of their time on that phone. In their experience it is important to stay connected.

Thousand upon thousands of beings of which most other people have no awareness populate the shaman’s world. The more connected they become to the other world, the more distant they become to ordinary reality. To be in the place of maximum power requires a position in the “Tween” space. This experience often leads to a different perspective on the world and all that we know as the universe. Today I want to share some of the things that comprise the view from the pass.
1) Nothing is permanent. The unverse and everything in it is in flux. This is true in
the micro, macro and spiritual realms.
2) Adaptability is the most important life skill.
3) Everything is connected to everything else.
4) Nothing matters in itself. It is how we perceive and relate to it that makes a
difference.
5) We are not in control.
6) We don’t need control.
7) All that is now has been before and will be again
8) No one is always right
9) No one is always wrong
10) Sometimes life just sucks
11) Laughter truly is the best medicine
12) We cannot change another person, we have a heck of a time changing
ourselves
13) We cannot change the world
14) Changing the world is not our job
15) Life should be lived in its fullest form. Like coffee that is served strong, hot and   black
16) What is popular is watered down and sweetened
17) The entire universe is conspiring to give you all that you need.
18) If you don’t have all you want, change your wants
19) Healing is a natural process
20) The clothing and scenery change when we go to a new production, but the play  never ends
21) The world is school, life is homework
22) Everyone needs recess
23) Hunger, poverty, and illness, see number 10
24) Pain is a good friend. It tells you when something is wrong. This is equally true in our emotional bodies.
25) Fear is like pain
26) Digestion is the process of life
27) Who you be is more important than what you believe
28) Don’t just stop and smell the roses, plant some in your own garden
