| Chrystine Julian is a prolific poet, business executive, workshop leader, drummer and spiritual teacher. Her poetry is frequently incorporated into music, art, dance and community events across the country, and has been published in periodicals and anthologies both domestically and internationally.
Her career has spanned many fields including retail, music, radio and wholesale distribution. Chrystine is currently based in Southern California as Corporate Director of Communications for a national distribution and retail services company. Clearly, Chrystine has never allowed her talents to be confined to one dimension. Therefore, she frequently leads team building workshops not only for corporations, but also for civic groups and religious organizations. In addition, she can be found performing music and spoken word on stages in and around Los Angeles. She also encourages emerging writers as Co-Host of Our Poetic Souls, an open-mic reading series in San Dimas, California. You do not have to dig very deep into Chrystine’s work before you discover her foundations of divinity, passion and social awareness. She is proud to be called a spiritual person in any of her activities. Her spirituality grew from roots in a small Baptist church and the sacred Native American ceremonial site that were both near her Southern Illinois childhood home. Her journey of discovery has since expanded through a variety of religious and mystical traditions. Her training includes practices from the West, East and ingenious cultures. She is trained as a minister, shaman, healer, and spiritual guide. She is frequently called upon to lead sacred ceremonies with poetry, dance and music.
